Why did I just spend 30 minutes trying to sign in my Adobe account?

Tried to open Photoshop. It had to quit because I was signed out (I hadn't).
Signed it to my account using Account Access app.
Tried to open Photoshop again. It had to quit because I was signed out.

Tried again to no avail.

Restarted computer. Signed in again and again ETCETERA until it finally "stuck" signed in (up until now).

What the hell is going on?

macOS Mojave 10.14.6
the only other place I ever signed in was my iPhone to use Photoshop Express last month.

thank you. I had actually found that first topic you linked but there was no opm.db under my ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/

so far the problem was solved by itself, but reading through the forums + google I'm afraid this is going to happen again, and at a critical situation.

I miss the days when you purchased software and it was yours and it could run with no internet connection.

You may do that with Photoshop Elements http://www.adobe.com/products/elements-family.html
