Can't cancel free trial turned to free 90 days without paying?

So I signed up for the free trial, and forgot to cancel it. The card I put it I didn't have any money at the time, so I finally was able to contact customer support. I told them my situation, and asked to cancel. Well the lady offers me 90 more days free, so I accepted. (My email says 90 days but another part says a year free so I don't know what's up) so it's getting close to the 90 days, I try to cancel so I don't forget again and it says I have to pay an early termination fee. Ummm what, I was not informed enough, I didn't have any idea about this. So I contact customer support and ask to cancel and she's saying I can't either unless I want to pay a ridiculous amount of money. I had no idea what she was saying after that, that I had to wait until some date to cancel, what am I supposed to do? I'm not paying for this, and I just don't want to deal with this anymore, if I just let the payments fail will they eventually cancel it no hassle? This is the worst free trial experience I hate adobe.
