I will be teaching a course on design at the local university starting January.
Due to covid, our computer labs will be closed and students will be attending the course online. As such they will have to purchase licences to creative cloud.
The course spans four months and I thought student could get a monthly subscription for that length of time. Since then I've been made aware of the licence termination fee for early cancellation of the CC licence.
This would put an undue financial burden on my students and even threaten the availability of the course in the spring term.
Our university has a campus-wide licence for CC, but that licence does not extend to home use. Adobe, in response to covid, did propose such an extension of the licencing terms for certain universities, but the offer lapsed in May 2020. Is it possible this offer will be made again in the coming year?
If not, would it be possible to waive the early cancellation fee for students specifically registered in the course?
I came here in search of a solution and would be grateful for any leads. Maybe a sales rep can help? I'm located in Canada.
