Personal account changing to an educational account

I currently have a personal account to Adobe CC, and its subscription expires 1/15/2021. I am on the faculty of the local school district (teaching video and photography courses for adults), and I just signed up for a year's subscription using my educational discount (on 11/28/2020). Can I get this new supscription to take effect when my personal subscription expires? What do I need to do to make that happen?

Thanks!

As far as I know, you need Adobe support to merge your two subscriptions without paying a fee to cancel your old one early

Thanks, John. I could not get a chat window to open... it tell me that I have to contact the IT department of my school organization, since there is a designated Adobe contact there. I don't think that will work, but I will try it first and see what the result is. I appreciate your fast response, however.

The chances are you now have two Adobe IDs. When you sign in you might have to choose "Enterprise" or "Personal". Once signed in to the personal account you'll need to cancel the old program, or cancel Adobe to do it. The new one will be already running and charging, it won't have added on the end.

Test Screen, yes you're right... I now have two Adobe IDs, one for my personal account and one that I had to do to get the educational discount. I've contacted my school's IT department (as Adobe instructs) to see if what I want can be done there. I have not done the final steps to begin using my educational CC account, so I'm hoping that it will not start the account clock until I actually establish a connection. (I paid for a year already, I just haven't logged in with my educational sign-in.) Today is Sunday, so I hope to hear something from my school's IT department tomorrow.

One more thing to note: these two accounts are completely separate. If you have anything stored in Creative Cloud (files, libraries, stock, fonts...) then it belongs only to one account. Be sure to save everything from CC in the old account before you cancel it.

Good point. Fortunately, I have nothing saved in Creative Cloud.
