Dear All,
My colleague got a utility bill in PDF that she cannot open with Reader DC 32bit, it says the file is corrupted.
However everybody with a 64bit system and software can open it without any issue.
The DC version she is using is 23 or 24 - but anyway, the PDF file has a version of 1.3, that is very old - so it should not be the problem. She can open other PDF files, this maybe the fifth time in her life the issue arised.
She has a 32bit OS (Windows) with a very old hardware that would not be enough to handle a 64 bit OS on it.
Besides forwarding each and every PDF she could not open to another colleague to print it, what can we do to overcome this problem?
Thank you for your kind advices and/or solutions!
Regards,
J.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
As this is a file specific issue, please try to redownload the PDF to the computer and save it locally and then try to open it via Acrobat Reader and see if that works.
Also, make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/3Xrq6Ac), reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link (https://adobe.ly/4b5vZGI) and see if that helps.
