A day wasted

after hours trying to problem solve what I thought was an issue with InDesign the cuplprit is deifnitely Acrobat.

Couldn't figure why colours weren't showing on exported PDFs, hyperlinks and Email links exported from InDesign don't open or open a browser rater than an email, errors galore....

Just got off a totally unhelpful hour long call where I got passed around and then when the rep couldn't help me he just hung up. Yep, hung up, not even a goodbye!

Only worked out it was Acrobat through opening an old machine and trying files there - voila! All working!

Really, if you can't export an interactive PDF or prep a file for print with accurate colour output then what on earth is Acrobat good for?

Wasted an entire day.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delayed response. I hope the issue got fixed by now, if not, we would need some more information.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works. Do check the export settings in InDesign as well.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/3QqD1OH and check.

Let us know how it goes.
