Abo-Payment failed after 3 Months Acrobat Pro Free trial

Dear Community,

I have used the 3 Month Adobe Acrobat Pro free trial.

I payed the 0,00 € with PayPal.

Yesterday they wanted to charge what did not work.

It says "Please Update your Card Data to Continue Using the Product"

Today I ask myself if I have to pay the fee or can run it out without any legal consequences.

Can I run it out without any legal consequences?

If the payment didn’t go through after your 3-month trial, the subscription will simply lapse — you won’t face any legal issues. Adobe will just stop your access to the paid features once the payment fails.

You don’t need to manually cancel it if the payment couldn’t be processed, but it’s still a good idea to double-check under your Adobe account → Plans
and confirm the plan shows as “Inactive” or “Expired.”

As long as you don’t update your payment info or renew manually, there won’t be any charges or consequences — your account just reverts to the free Acrobat version.

Thank you Jim, glad to know nothing will happen 🙏🏻

Currently, the status is "Please Update Card Data".

This will change in a couple weeks to something alike to "Deactivated"?
