I am trying to prepare a document for accessibility, and I am having the weirdest issues and I don't know what the issue is. When I click the 'Prepare for accessibility' tool and click 'Fix reading order', nothing is working at all. I have a lot of text and a lot of background images I need to mark as Artifact. I highlight an image and click mark as artifact. Nothing happens. I do it to another image and it works. I highlight test and click mark as text. It highlights the whole text with the pink boxes but when I click mark as text, nothing happens. I tried to swap back and forth between old and new adobe. Sometimes it will recognize other artifacts it did not previously did. There is no rhyme or reason as to what it will recognize or not. I’ve restarted the program, and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled but no success. I can only describe this issue as glitchy. I know it should be working but it’s not. Does this happen for anyone else or have a fix? Thanks

Thanks for posting your question, Fancy_heart. That is kind of you to make sure that the documents you are preparing will be readable to everyone. What process did you use to create the initial PDF? We recommend creating a tagged PDF in the authoring application to help with making the document accessible. Please see https://adobe.ly/45aDkVa for more information. ^JW

Additionally, could you please share the app version and operating system details?
Thanks.
