Regrettably, Adobe Illustrator does not offer tagging as one of its PDF creation options at this time.

But of course, it is always important for us to know of customer demand for such features. I would love to see support for tagging in PDF export from Illustrator as well as support for PDF/A (as well as PDF/A export from InDesign).

Yes please, we need to be able to create more accessible pdf:s from Illustrator! Right now I need to work around this by doing a crazy amount of fixing in Acrobat Pro. Super time consuming and if I want to edit my original I need to start all over again in acrobat.

It's been years and this feature is still not available. This should be a priority!
