I have the full range of Hurme Geometric Sans 3 installed on my machine but in Adobe Acrobat I only see one in the list, with the usual option to make bold/italic etc. Is there a way to access these sub-levels of the font, or change the weight?

Hi @Clair21967956wmzu, I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. Do you want to make edits to a PDF that already uses the subsets of these fonts? Or do you want to add new text with these fonts in a text box on a PDF page? Are you working with Acrobat DC through Creative Cloud? Are these typekit fonts that aren't syncing?

Hi Jain

It's either really - I am trying to edit a PDF but because I can't access the sub-level of the font I need, when I edit the existing text it gives me a different version of the font (e.g. Hairline, when I need Regular). Same with when I create a new text box.

I'm using a downloaded version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.

"Are these typekit fonts that aren't syncing?" I'm not sure what you mean but these are fonts that I have downloaded independently to my machine but only one version of the font is showing and I can't access the other versions. E.g. in Microsoft Word it is the same, the drop down list of fonts onto shows one type - but there is a way to access the rest of the font family by going to 'font style. I can't see a way to do with in Adobe.

thanks

Okay, that helps me understand a bit more. Can you can use the hairline and/or other styles in the font family in a Word document and export that file to PDF and the fonts show correctly? It's only when you want to edit or use that font in Acrobat that it's not available to you?

Also, this might not make a difference, but did you purchase a license for the entire family Hurme Geometric Sans Complete Font | Fontspring? Or are you using a free downloaded version? Also, check in your C drive fonts folder to make sure all those particular fonts in the family are activated and usable. They may have a restricted license that is preventing Acrobat from accessing them.

Yes I can use them in word. I'm using the free version of no 3. In the fonts folder, all of the variations are appearing there within the Hurme 3 folder. In the font folder, it is showing as 'Installable' under the Editability column.

The only thing I can think of now is something with your version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. I don't have that software so I can't test it. I use Acrobat DC and all my fonts are accessible within the program for editing. Also, all my fonts are listed in the drop down menus under Preferences > Content Editing. So I don't know why this particular font isn't showing up in your version of Acrobat. And all your other fonts show up correctly, right?

Maybe someone else will come along with more ideas. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but I'll keep thinking about what might be going on.
