Acro Tray virus in Acrobat

New Here ,
Jun 08, 2022 Jun 08, 2022

Just writing to let you know there is a virus embedded in your Adobe Acrobat software. My PC was running very slowly so I checked task manager and saw an Acro Tray process was taking up a lot of my CPU time, even when Adobe Suite wasn't open or running! This was resolved by uninstalling adobe acrobat. It's a shame since I'm paying for use of all your products and cannot use Adobe Acrobat on windows now without abnormal behaviour and my CPU being clocked out. Please look into this.

AcroTray is a normal part of Acrobat for all users. It runs at all times, but should use little CPU except when you print to PDF. It seems a long jump from "AcroTray is using a lot of CPU time" (a bad thing) to "there is a virus" (a much worse thing).  If every bug and issue were a virus we'd be in big trouble.
