When a user creates a PDF file on her computer by using the Adobe PDF printer, she is unable to delete, rename, or move the new file. Windows tells her that the file is in use by acrobat.exe. In this situation, even when all Acrobat windows on her computer are closed, an acrobat.exe process is still running. If I kill the process, she can work with the file.
I've looked through the Adobe Support Community, and the only suggestion I have found is to turn off the Preview Pane in File Explorer. This user does not use the Preview Pane.
The computer is running Windows 10 and Acrobat Standard 2020 Classic Track, version 20.005.30441.
Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with this issue?
