Acrobat 8 stopped working

I am running Windows 10. I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Professional first (after getting a new key, etc). That worked fine until I reinstalled CS3. At that point Acrobat Pro stopped working. I use that daily so I went through the reinstall process for Acrobat Pro again. It currently works. I don't know exactly what was running before now, but CS3 and AP are the only programs I uninstalled/reinstalled.

Why is this being moved around? It was a response to Jeff, who is supposedly working with me on this issue -- which has been through all the customer service loops for the last three weeks and everyone keeps pawning it off. Please put this back were it came from -- the thread in which I posted it as an answer to Jeff's question.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10, so such problems are to be expected.
