Hi Everyone,
When I export an .ai file to acrobat, it creates random bounding boxes around words or partial sentences. Two questions:
1 - is there a way to prevent this?
2 - can I merge bounding boxes into one or eachother?
I am using prepare form as I need to create editable boxes on other parts of this project. Should I be approaching the import/export a different way.
I have included screens of both the illustrator file and what it looks like after exporting to acrobat.
Hopefully with the screens what I am explaining makes sense.
Thanking you all in advance for your help,
Matt

This is static content. It has nothing to do with form fields. These boxes don't actually exist in the PDF. Acrobat generates them for you to facilitate editing the contents of the file, but you should really not be doing that if you have access to the original file format. If you want to make changes to it do so in AI and then create a new PDF.
If you've already added fields you can then use the Replace Pages command to replace the old pages with the new ones, which will keep your fields in tact.

Thank you for the help, I do have access to the original file in AI. Further down the document I need to include editable boxes for question prompts. I appreciate the advise.
Thank you!
