I am having constant problems with Acrobat DC.
When I open Acrobat DC it takes a few seconds extra I guess to connect to Adobe licensing server to load creative cloud profile and verify license vc the icon in the upper right is blank for a bit - causing a slowdown / freezing of the program. See picture 1 (left).
More annoying is about a 30 second lag literally every time I open a new PDF file even if I leave DC open and its opening in a new tab. It is really annoying and similar to what this user is experiencing - here. Kind of renders the whole thing useless. There is nothing wrong with my software or my computer - my computer is a brand new top of the line Dell Precision 7560 Workstation. I uninstalled DC and reinstalled it, everything worked normally - until it installed the updates - and now I am back to square one and I am getting very upset. Adobe needs to fix this thing.

Hi Brent Shapiro
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20117 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu and reboot the computer, and check.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to open? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try to open it and check.
Also, go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' turn off the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security > Click OK and reboot the computer once.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.
You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that helps.
Regards
Amal

I can confirm all the steps but unchecking enhanced security is not something that I have tried. I will attempt this and get back.
