Acrobat DC takes ages to open

It seems that the problem dates back to about 2020, but on my computer it is recent, about a month. This even if it is already open.

Open a pdf file. Wait. When it is open, open a second one. Wait. etc.

Does Adobe work on a solution?

 

ps. I hate the AI assitant.

latest windows 11 and latest acrobat DC (I have a creative cloud
subscription).

I wonder if it could be that Acrobat tries to connect to my university
account (in spite of my not wanting i t to)
