Acrobat Digital Signatures on Contracts not Using the Cloud

Hello,

Is it possible to digitally sign a PDF then send to someone else to sign and date without using the Acrobat cloud?  I have Acrobat DC, but the individuals signing the document will only have Reader.

Backstory: I recently re-designed my contracts and the digital signature is not functioning like it did in the past. My old contracts contain a small red arrow in the top left on the signaure field.  The new ones seem to only want to accept the signature through the cloud when I add in a signature block/field.

How do I get the field to have the red arrow again and to work as it did in the past, without the cloud?

I'd be happy to share the file with someone if anyone can help.   THANK YOU.

Use a Acrobat form, not a Adobe Sign form.
