Hi,

I have a mac. Yesterday I had an issue with an external hard drive which crashed on me. At the time ti crashed I had several files opened that were probably not fully saved to the external drive (or were in the process of saving). Since then, I can't open Acrobat. I click a file to open, or even the program from Applications and it won't open...I get the colored wheel. So, I have to force quit.

I tried running the unistaller to re-install the program...but the same thing happens. It won't open or do anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Paramecium_nai

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to open the the application nor its getting uninstalled.

Please remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner tool - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html  , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
