When I print text on my inkjet printer from a PDF file with fonts embedded, does Acrobat ever use the installed fonts on my Windows 10 computer, or does it only use the embedded font information from the PDF document exclusively?

Hi @Eric27613796jhs5

Hope you are doing well.

When I print text on my inkjet printer from a PDF file with fonts embedded, does Acrobat ever use the installed fonts on my Windows 10 computer, or does it only use the embedded font information from the PDF document exclusively?

If you are printing text from a PDF file with embedded fonts, it will use the embedded fonts. Installed fonts are picked only when there's any additional font used (during the process of editing) in the pdf but not embedded.

For more information, please read this helpful article: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-fonts.html

Thanks,

Akanchha
