I am working on files in a network share on a macbook and need to annotate documents. This is done using the 'Add comment' function in Acrobat which works fine but upon trying to save the PDF in network share, Acrobat will freeze for a few seconds then display a pop-up reading "The document could not be saved. A file error has occured". After clicking OK, a bug report screen shows up and disconnects me from the network share (Not sure if this is related). I am able to save edits made from other applications like word with no errors and ensured that I have read/write permissions in the network share. My current work around is to copy over the file to my desktop and save the edits locally then reupload them. Has anyone else come across this issue and resolved it?

I've seen similar issues on slow networks, where disk operations timed out.
