M-1 MacBook Pro, 16GB RAM, macOS 11.6.7 (20G630). Adobe Acrobat DC 22.001.20112 continually freezes when I'm making text selections using commenting tools.
I'm having this problem with files from more than one client. Source is INDD. Typically, this occurs when the text selection crosses a line-break boundary.
I'm proofing files and have to start over continually because the app freeze prevents me from saving the work.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file created from INDD? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and check.
Also, update the application to the recent version 22.1.20142 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.
You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that works.

Why don't Acrobat updates show up in the CC app with all the others? "Get all" apparently means "Get most." 😞
