I've seen a couple of similar posts to this without any resolution. I have this issue with two people, any pdf exported from AutoCAD causes adobe acrobat to go into not responding state. Here are a few of the steps I have tried after reading various other posts. I have repaired installation, uninstalled/reinstalled acrobat w/ cleaning tool, disabled enhanced security/run in appcontainer, cleared recents, and repaired all microsoft visual c++ installs. Is there any other options to try fixing this?

Hi trevor_2481,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document for a crash: https://adobe.ly/3PHMCQm

You may also try reinstalling the application using the following steps:
-Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/40EYjNY)
-Reboot the machine
-Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/40EYl8y

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

It does not crash, the app goes unresponsive. Also, I have already done those steps to uninstall/reinstall the application and it still does the same thing after the reinstall. Do you have anything else to try? I listed a few things I've tried in my initial post.

Hi trevor_2481 ,

Please confirm if the issue occurs only with the AutoCAD files. If so, can you share any sample PDFs with us?

Share the Acrobat and OS version on the machine. We will replicate the behavior.

We might need logs for further investigation.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

The issue only exists with PDFs that were exported from AutoCAD, works fine with normal PDFs. Do you have an email I can send a file to? I would rather not upload it here.
