Acrobat is not reading selected text from Voice Over (MacOS Monterey)

Hello,

I use the Voice Over Accessibility feature on macOS Monterey to select text and then press a keyboard shortcut to have the selected text read the text to me by Siri.

I am able to select text in Preview PDF, Chrome PDF, Firefox PDF, Safari PDF and have it read to me using Voice Over.

But when I select text and press the keyboard shortcut in Acrobat DC Pro, it starts to read from the beginning and not the selected text.

I know Acrobat has a built-in "read" feature, but it starts to read form the beginning of the page rather than the selected text. I prefer to use Voice Over.

Could someone explain why this is happening and how I could fix the problem?

Thank you,
