I have a PDF document which is a client statement issued by my bank.
When I open it in Acrobat, the text kerning displays normally (see below attached image #1).
However, when I print the samne PDF from Acrobat, the text kerning gets all messed up (see below attached image #2).
What is causing this problem and how do I fix it?
For what it's worth, when I open the same PDF document in Apple's Preview app, the kerning problem also occurs, both when viewing and printing.
Thank you.

Hi Matt,
We are happy to hear that you were able to print the PDF normally via Photoshop. Also, to print the PDF as image from Acrobat make sure that print in grey scale is unchecked, then go to Advance and print as image and see if that works.

Hi Randd,
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the PDF displays well when opened in Adobe Acrobat but printing gets it messed up.
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try to open and print a different PDF file and check.
What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC you are using? To check the version goto Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 20.13.20074 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates. Also check for any missing/pending update for printer driver and firmware and try updating it and reboot the computer once and check if that helps.
Please try to print the PDF as an image and check. Go to Print > Advanced > Print as image and see if that works for you.
You may also try to open the PDF in a web browser (Chrome)for testing and try to print it from there and check.
Let us know how it goes
Regards
Amal

Amal,
Thanks for your feedback.
I do have the most recent version of Acrobat.
This doesn't happen with all PDFs. Just the ones from my bank.
"Print as image" option is not available to me. It's grayed out for some reason.
When I open the PDF in Chrome and print, the same kerning problem occured.
Interestingly, when I open the PDF in Photoshop and print, the problem disappears and the PDF prints normally.
