Acrobat Not Printing Double Sided

I recently switched my work computer from a PC to Mac, but have worked on Macs for years so I'm not exactly a newbie. In Acrobat, it's not allowing me to print double-sided. I have printed from this computer to the same printer (Canon iR-ADV C5030/5035 UFR II) from other programs, and it allows me to print double-sided just fine. But it seems as though Acrobat doesn't even recognize that double-sided is an option on the printer. Other resources says to download new drivers for the printer, but that doesn't make sense since other programs will print double-sided.

Has anyone experience something like this before?

Nevertheless, it would be far less confusing if -- rather than not mentioning duplexing at all -- Adobe's printer dialog instead includes a note along the lines of "This printer's properties do not identify that it has duplexing (two-sided printing) capability."  That at least would tell the user that, if the user knows the printer CAN duplex,then there's likely something wrong in the printer's properties settings, which would give the user a place to start looking for a fix.

I do not think that this would lift the confusion.

Acrobat asks the OS about the printer capabilities. If some parameters are configured the wrong way, you could not blame Adobe for this. Printers should configure themselves with all hardware options that are installed. That would be less confusing to the user.

For Brother 2270DW, just a minor change (short-cut, perhaps) to Paul's instructions - which are quite helpful.

At Paul's step (c), select "Device Settings" tab.  Then, skip down to (h) and pick up the instructions from there.  Works beautifully.

Thanks Tara/Paul - that last mod got me going for a Brother MFC9465. This has been bugging me for the last couple of years.

@adobe: everything else on this computer can print double-sided to this printer with no drama. Only Acrobat Reader DC fails; Acrobat 6 is Ok. Ergo, DC is broken. An excuse that this only affects Brother printers and their drivers are slightly different from other drivers just won't wash it. If Microsoft apps think that this printer has a duplexer, and DC doesn't, then you need to fix DC.

Adding my sincere thanks to Taras/Paul and confirming these steps worked to enable duplex printing on Brother HL-L2360D series from Adobe Acrobat Pro 17 (Windows 10 Enterprise).
