Acrobat not scanning full document Epson printer

Hi,

I have an Epson ET-2720. I have installed the drivers for the printer as well as the scan utility. If i use their scan software it works fine but when trying to create a PDF from the scanenr in Acrobat there are several issues:

1) The option to use the scanner's user interface is ticked, however it is in greys, so I cannot untick it. Nevertheless the interface shown is not the one from the scanner but the one that seems to be native from Acrobat (see image). I remember seeing that interface wth my previous laptop and printer.
2) I make a preview scan, the interface automatically selects a small portion of the whole page (the part with text), I resize the part that shoudl be scanned yet acrobat scans only a portion of the page with text. Not even the whole part of the text, but just a part of it.
Given that the scanninng utility form Epson works fine I am assuming this is an issue with Adobe. Is there a way to fix this? I can of course use the application from Epson and then manipulate the file sin Acrobat, yet it is an extra step.

Thanks in advance
