Hello everyone,
I have a document that a colleague created in Microsoft Word 365. I am in the process of fixing accessibility errors, but have run into an issue when trying to select text.
When I use my cursor, the selected text looks like this:
Then I right click on the tag I want to add, select Create Tag from Selection, and then this is what shows up in the Tags panel:
When I check the selected text again using the Reading Order panel (to see if that will give me a better text selection), this is what I see:
Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix this issue?
I've exported the document using "Save As" pdf and exported the document using the Adobe PDF Maker integration, but continue to have this issue.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Norio

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. Please try to log out of the application and reboot the computer and re-login with the same Adobe ID and check.
Also go through the correct answers marked in the similar discussion( https://adobe.ly/4cTLXF9) and see if that works.
Also, make sure you have the recent version 24.02.2089x installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Let us know how it goes

Hi Amal,
Thank you for your response. I tried to access the link you referenced and got an Access Denied message.
I checked several other documents after logging out and rebooting the computer and it is happening with all of them, including documents that people in my organization did not author. And I checked for updates and saw that I am running 24.02.20895. It told me that no updates were available.
Please let me know if you have other ideas to try.
Thank you,
Norio
