I use to have preview handler to view all file types, but that changed 5 months ago. I could had bough a lot of laptops with the amount of time I have invested in past 4 months to fix the problem, but no solution anywhere on the net.
I could not get acrobat previews to work ago in explorer, so I downloaded PowerToys that is suppose to over ride any other preview handler. It worked after installation, just like acrobat did, but like acrobat, after 6 hours the preview stops functioning. I have a 1000 pdf files I also refer to so it's vital i can quickly search and read pdf's in explorer. I now need to install WPS to have pdf previews, but I reinstalled WPS as I need it all day every day to use. I use to have pdf previews before even installing acrobat. Surely there must be a way to have acrobat preview handler over ride WPS, until WPS problem is fixed in their update. I assume it's WPS but I do not know. I just know what was good for years with previews, changed 5 months ago to none for pdf files on my laptop. So many solutions posted on the net to have acrobat installed and preview thunbnail handler enabled, but it does nothing for my problem.
Any ideas?

@2chaoz as per the previous messages x 2 , we have already mentioned what to do — Completely uninstall WPS Office!
If Acrobat and PowerToys are having issues, it's likely WPS Office. From what I can find, WPS Office is a popular office suite developed by the Chinese company Kingsoft. It's often seen as a free or more affordable alternative to Microsoft Office

I know it will solve that problem, but WPS in my most important app then all others combined. It must stay. I'm just trying to find a way to override the WPS handlers, as Powertoys can't even do it (despite it claims it does).

I was using explorer 10minutes ago, like I do on and off all day, every day, and surprise, surprise, a pdf preview appeared. I did no reinstalations, or installations of any kind, nor any updates. This is bizarre. After 5 months of not having pdf previews 99% of the time, I hope this change remains. I'll be sure to make a restore point in the next 10min, in case the previews stop working again. It's surely a complicated software issue for someone that's not a software engineer like myself. I attach a screen shot of my preview pane working for pdf files again.
