Acrobat Pro 2020 DVD Program Installed, Now Directed To Subscribe. Why?

I purchased the Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 DVD desktop-only perpetual software from Amazon for a hefty price and after installing the program on my PC, I am asked to subscribe to Acrobat Pro to get the standard features of Acrobat Pro for combining files, OCR etc.

I also got this note when I signed into my account:

"Announcement

Acrobat 2020 End of Sale has been extended from November 30, 2024 to May 31, 2025, for TLP only. Acrobat 2020 End of Sale for CLP is still November 30, 2024. Note that this change does not apply to Australia and New Zealand, where sales of Acrobat perpetual ended in February 2024. " Can anyone tell me what "TLP" and "CLP" stands for and if this "Announcement" affects my purchase from Amazon.

Thanks for your help with this!

I should have also stated some dates in my previous post. I purchased my Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 DVD desktop-only perpetual software from Amazon prior to November 30, 2024 and I have installed it today which is December 04, 2024.

TLP = Transactional License Program

CLP = Cumulative License Program

The former is an individual license and the latter is an enterprise one.

What is the exact error message you're getting when installing it?

Also, did you purchase it from Amazon or on Amazon (ie. from a third-party)?

If you can't get it to work I recommend you ask for a refund from the seller.

Hi Try67, I am getting a message when I try to open the software that says "Your trial has expired" then a button that says "Buy". When I click on "Buy" it takes me to this link: https://acrobat.adobe.com/proxy/pricing/us/en/resubscribe.html?trackingid=KZ6SV3H8&mv=in-product&mv2...

I did buy it "on" Amazon and not directly "from" Amazon. It seems a legit program disk and Adobe did not decline to complete the install after I entered the S/N that was attached to the box.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Sounds like it's the wrong installer. Try downloading it directly from Adobe after registering the Serial Number.

Hi @Pilot_Sandra

Please confirm on the Acrobat app version you have on the machine ? Also, have you put the serial key while installing the Acrobat?

Regards

Ravi
