Acrobat Pro 2024-002-20895 Text Boxes Keep Actively Creating

With my last upgrade, Acrobat Pro will not create a single text box without my having to turn it off with the escape key (Windows 11).  This is irritating and not very productive.  When I hit the quick key "X", the text box creates as normal, but if I click outside the text box when done typing, it creates a new text box.  This continues until I hit escape a couple of times.  How do I turn this off so that I just get a text box and when I click outside it, nothing happens?

Hi @ksholder

Sorry for the delayed response.
When you select an option under comments, I believe you use the "Rectangle" object by using the shortcut key 'X'. The object remains selected as long as you don't move to another tool or object within the tool. This is as designed behavior.
If you want to provide your feedback related to this functionality, please use this form: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Let us know if you have more questions.
