Acrobat Pro Continuous release causes crashing and timeouts

New Here ,
Sep 04, 2024 Sep 04, 2024

We have a problem with the Continuous release for licenced users and have reverted to 24.002.21005. We have to disable the modern UI (which I do via reg key) and some users are still experiencing crashing, so I'm turning off 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' as a test and it seems to be working for the affected users.

My question to the community is whether they have scripted the deployment of Acrobat DC Pro from Intune and added something to your install script or post-install script that makes your deployment stable? I know you can change some settings via registry and what we need is:

* Disable ability for user to update

* Disable automatic update checking

* Disable modern UI

* Disable protected mode at startup, etc.

Any other suggestions and the reg keys you use would be appreciated!

Curious if you got anywhere with this / found other information? Our users are having the same problem ... considering rolling back to older versions / classic - longer support track vs. continuous release. I can't believe this isn't being tracked openly as a bug or issue. We've been seeing this since July/Aug even ... brand new builds out of box and still occurs.

Hi @eugene_8642 @chris_9650,

Sorry for the delayed response and troubled experience.
Some of the known issues during the July time frame have been fixed. Please ensure your copy of Acrobat is updated. To update, launch Acrobat > Help > Check for Update.

If you are still experiencing this issue and to better assist you, would you mind sharing a few details :

Thanks for sharing your feedback and for your patience.

~Tariq
