Hello If anyone is still working through this issue?

I found that the 365 office 2016 products (word excel powerpoint access) is not recognised. however I have office project 2016 and it is recognised (stand alone product - not 365). Also my other older office stand alone products are recognised such as Visio & picture manager?

Any feedback appreciated

What is your exact version of Acrobat Pro DC (not "latest" please, the string of numbers)?

hello? Another issue has arisen. New machine (with M chip). software win 11 pro & adobe acrobat Pro 2017. Office is 2016 Pro. I have 3 issues: (Please note i have had Adobe support assisting to reinstall the software , installed both from my disc and also a file the adobe support agent gave me a link to).

1) there is no acrobat tab in the menu bar for Visio Pro & Project Pro (these do not come with the office suite) nor can i find a driver (following all the steps to manually install the driver to add the adobePDF Printer to the list of printers. keeps saying a .dll file is missing.

2) in the office suite i get the acrobat tab in the menu. however once again the adobe printer is listed in the printers. The problem here is that I cannot creat A4 pages from excel sheet (once again the adobe support agent tried also) it prints to 11" x 15" (go figure?) it will, however,  print to A3.

I can work around the Project and Visio using the mocrosoft print to PDF driver as I dont create so many files. The excel however I create large quantities of files. With acrobat they are reduced down to 20-30Kb with the microsoft print to pdf they are at least 10 time larger and cannot be reduced in size?

Am i the only one with this problem?

Hi there,

As you have mentioned above that the Acrobat does not recognize the MS office products, please try once to check if the correct registries are present. Refer to the steps provided in the following help document.

- MS Office documents not listed in supported file types when creating PDF from file

Also, try once to reset the application preferences and check if that resolves the issue.

To reset the preferences, refer to the steps provided in this help link How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

If that doesn't help, please share the details as asked below:

- Acrobat version (Take help of the steps provided here Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC )

- OS installed on the machine

- Share the troubleshooting steps you have already tries.

Let us know if you have any questions or need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hi

What do you mean by “not recognized”?
