Acrobat Pro DC - Find bookmark feature

I have created a pdf file of over 6000 pages with 250 bookmakes. On smaller files the 'Find Current Bookmark' works perfectly but in this file, created in exactly the same way the feature does not work. My client wants to be ale to find the bookmark whislt scrolling through the document. Is there any limits to how many bookmarks can be in a file for this feature to work or does anyone have any other ideas>

I don't think there's a limit. What kind of actions are your bookmarks executing?

I am just using a go to page bookmark nothing fancy. with over 6000 pages he wants to scroll to a page and then use the Find Current Bookmark button to be able to see what section the page is under.

You mean "Expand current Bookmark" ?

I also have this issue. The 'delete', 'add new', and 'find current bookmark' buttons are all missing from a pdf I created. It was exported from Word, but everything else seems to be a normal pdf as far as I can tell in terms of functionality and settings.
