Acrobat Pro DC installation doesn't work

I have a subscription to Acrobat Pro DC. A couple of days ago it just stopped working - I couldn't open the program or use it to open PDF files. I could save files as PDF but then couldn't open them. I uninstalled Acrobat Pro DC then attempted to reinstall. The installer downloaded ok and the installation from Adobe Creative Cloud ran to the end, but the program hasn't installed. I've tried reinstalling several times, and restarted my computer after each attempt, but still not installed.

I can still open and read PDF files in Acrobat Reader, but it doesn't have the functions I need in Pro DC.

Anyone know what's happening here and how I can get the installation to complete?

I'm running Windows 8.

Thanks

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and check if that helps.

Regards

Amal
