I am running Acrobat Pro DC on a MAC. OS X 10.11
Printer is Samsung 4020ND
Printing PDF documents is very slow- just one page can take nearly 2 minutes to transfer to the printer.
Printing the same document in other software such as Preview is almost instantaneous.
Can anybody advise if there is a setting or similar in Acrobat Pro DC that may be the cause of this?
Thank you

Hard to know without seeing the file.
There is the "Advanced" button in the Print dialog box that allows you to control several settings that could affect print speed quality.
For really tricky files check "Print as image" and your computer will process the conversion to raster data.
Transparency flattener can affect the print speed where you balance speed vs detail.
Start there and if it doesn't work please present more information so that we can dig further. (Is it CJK fonts? Are there complex graphics? Is there much transparency? What source program created the PDF file?)

Lukas,
"Print as image" did the trick.
Thank you
