Acrobat Pro DC quit unexpectedly

Lately, whenever I try combining multiple PDFs, Acrobat Pro crashes.

I am using the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC and I have the latest updates installed on my MacBook.

Anyone else experience this issue? I get the following error displayed:

It sounds like your preferences have gone corrupt. Try starting it up under another user, if it runs with no problem then your preferences are corrupt:

  1. Exit Applicaton
  2. Restart the user
  3. In the users Library reset the preferences
  4. The user Library file is hidden by default on Mac OS X 10.7 and later. For temporary access to the user Library file, press Option and choose Go > Library in the Finder.
  5. Delete on Mac: <OSDisk>/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist
