Acrobat Pro DC very slow after update

My Acrobat just updated automatically this morning, and it's now virtually useless for the work my job requires on a daily basis. I use the program to create and edit PDFs, some small, some large. I've had some slight issues in the past with the speed of the program, but nothing like what I'm experiencing now.

I've checked for further updates with the program as well as my system (running on Windows 10), and both are up to date. I'm not sure if this is a wide-spread issue or just on my machine, but I'm hoping someeone can provide some insight into what's going on so I can use this program again.

Update: February 18, 2022...

Still pathetically slow and glitchy on even the most powerful machines.

  • Pan command STILL AFTER THREE YEARS inexplicably converts to MARQUEE ZOOM when trying to pan.
  • Pan command glitchy and slow on touch screen or see above.
  • Becomes non-functional in most Microsoft Teams meetings.
  • Inability to draw anything  without errors or crashing.
  • Crashes regularly.
  • Adobe is of no help whatsoever.
  • About to abandon this garbage dunpster of a program and migrate to BlueBeam.

Solved what? Solved the Pan to Marquee error? Solved the crashing? Solved the idiocy of not working in Teams? What exactly did "this" solve?

The headline said Re: Acrobat Pro DC very slow after update . That's what it solved.

@judies51544517 this forum thread was specific to a slow down occuring under Windows 10 when Acrobats Protected mode was active.

You might want to try the thread below which specifically mentions MacOS.

Sorry - did not notice that it was for Windows.  Seems the problem is on both Windowas & IOS.

Thanks

It does not solve the jerkyness and lag and slowness on Windows 11 either.

Oddly, it does not stop it from crashing on a Surface Studio 2 that is maxed out.
