I’ve always been using Adobe Acrobat Pro together with my Brother MFC-J5740DW printer without any issues printing PDF files. However, since this week, I consistently get a generic error message whenever I try to print certain PDF files.
A few important details:
The issue occurs on two different PCs (one running Windows 11, the other Windows 10).
It happens only for specific PDF files; other files print perfectly fine.
The affected files used to print without problems until recently.
When printing, the progress bar in Acrobat goes to around 85–90%, then suddenly jumps to 100%, and the error appears.
The issue started at the same time on both machines, which suggests it may be related to a recent Acrobat update (no printer or driver updates were installed recently).
The same files print successfully when opened in Google Chrome or other browsers, so the printer itself is working normally.
I’ve already tried all the standard troubleshooting steps:
Restarting my PC
Restarted and reset the printer
Reinstalled and updated the Brother drivers (latest versions installed)
Updated the printer's firmware
Repaired the Acrobat installation
Enabled “Print as Image” under advanced print settings
Verified that the issue occurs with both USB and network printing
Unfortunately, none of these actions resolved the issue.
Given that the problem appeared simultaneously on two different systems, affects only Acrobat (not Chrome or other apps), and occurs with files that previously printed fine, it seems likely that this is a compatibility issue between Acrobat’s latest update and the Brother printer driver.
Could you please investigate this or confirm whether there are any known issues related to recent Acrobat updates and Brother printer compatibility?

How did you roll back to a previous version? I don't see such an option in my Creative Cloud settings.
Also, disabled "Advanced printing features" and using "Print as Image" don't work for me, unfortunately. Let's hope this can be fixed soon with an update.
