I have an issue when editing a block of Japanese text in Acrobat Pro. Basically, all the text format options work as they should; ranged left, centred, ranged right – however the 'justify' option does not do anything? I am working with horizontal Japanese text and everything works with English. I have tried other Japanese fonts, but the problem persists. Any thoughts for a possible fix would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having this same problem and I'm saddened to see no one has replied.

Hello @jacqueline_8172!
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Could you please share more details about the issue, as you have posted on an old thread? Are you experiencing the same issue with the Japanese text? Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version? What version of Acrobat is installed? Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20474 (Win) | 25.001.20476 (Mac), Apr 28, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
Could you share the PDF file causing the issue? As a workaround, convert PDF to Word (via Acrobat → Export PDF). Edit the text with justification in Word, then reconvert it to PDF. This allows full justification features with better text engine support.
We're here to help, just need more info.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
