Hello,
Recently I'm finding it painstakingly difficult to review my PDFs. I have a 94mb PDF (all vector work from Illustrator), that when I view in Acrobat, the software continues to re-draw the image on it's own, even if I'm not doing anything? Zooming in is even more cumbersome!
Other people on my team are experiencing the same problem and it's slowing down production immensely.
I've tried switching on/off different prefs., but it was working fine up until about a month ago without any specific pref. settings altered.
Has anyone experienced this problem and/or know of a fix? Wondering if this is a bug in this version? Please help. Thanks!

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
Is this an issue with PDF files created from Indesign or other PDFs? Please try with different pdf files and check.
What is the version of the OS you are using? A small video recording of your steps and the issue occurring would be very helpful.
Please collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

I only use Illustrator to make PDFs. Using Mac OS Ventura, 13.3.1. I can share a video because it's work related but I will show a screen grab of what's happening. This happens mostly when zooming in. The white and black areas contain artwork. The screen continues to preview the artwork on and off when I zoom upon any area. It's a repetitive, flashing, issue that happens. I have to zoom back out for the creative to be seen fully. As mentioned, this isn't just happening to me but to others on my team and we can't utilize the software efficiently. This started about a month back so I don't know that a preference setting would be the solve but I'll try anything at this point. thanks

Hi Amal,
What other solutions do you have? I uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Pro 2023 and it still takes forever to open a file and the file is under a MB. Also when I zoom in, it takes forever to redraw the graphic. Cannot work like this. Please help

Hi Amal,
I have another question. In Illustrator, I was working on a creative that had Arabic type in it. The Arabic type in the paragraph was in the wrong direction making my project impossible to work on. I realized that I didn't have the "paragraph direction," option in my paragraph palette to change it. I found out because my "default install language," was set to English-North Americain Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator doesn't give the paragraph direction option. So I uninstalled Illustrator, changed my default install language (in Cloud), to "English-Arabic," and that solved the problem.
The majority of my work is in English but there are times when I do have to use Arabic languages among other countries as well.
Question is, can I leave the CC language setting at English-Arabic without any potential issues to any English only files i work on? thanks

Hi there
We are glad to hear that the issue got fixed for you. You may leave the language settings as it is and it would work fine.

Used acrobat cleaner tool, restarted PC, reinstalled acrobat from CC and it seems to be functional now. (This was the last on a long list of things I tried, but I think it is the one that did the trick since i can now flip through documents without it freezing)
