Hi, Having Adobe issues lately. Now, Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.23 won't work in Word. I can open this version of Acrobat, but save as PDF and the Acrobat plug-in give an error.
I tried this, and the link doesn't work.
Here is the error I see:
Help!
Cheers,
Sean
P.S. Here is Acrobat 11 open, just as proof.

Acrobat XI is an old and unsupported version, and is getting less and less compatible with Windows 10 with each new update of the latter, as well as with Office.

I hear you. I hate subscription models. That aside, it should still work and should not have stopped working. Any thoughts about getting it going again?

- You can still get Acrobat without a subscription (version number is 2020, currently).
- Who said it should still work? You didn't say what OS and Office versions you have. If they are compatible with Acrobat XI then it should still work. If they are not, then it might work, or it might not work.
You can try running a Repair Installation on Acrobat, as well as running it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS (like Windows 7), but that's about it.

Well, alrighty then. Do you have a link for the perpetual license version (retronym) of Acrobat 2020, perchance?
I said it still should work because it was working with my version of Windows 10 20H2 and Word 2019 32-bit 16.0.10373.20050 and then stopped.

Any update to either the OS or Office could have broken it.
Go to the Adobe Products Page (https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html) and search for "Acrobat".
At the top of the list you'll now see Acrobat Pro 2020. Click on the Buy button next to it. If you have a prior qualifying version change the "Type" drop-down to "License Upgrade". Otherwise leave it as "Full License".
Then select the other options (OS, Language, etc.) and complete the purchase. You'll get a full license, not a time-based subscription.

I don't see 2020. The only options I see are for subscriptions.

This is not the page I linked to. This is what you should see if you follow my instructions:
Top-left corner is the perpetual license version, Acrobat 2020.

Oh, I see. I followed your link and saw Acrobat right there. I now see that ignoring that and searching gets you 2020.
Thanks. Still looking for ideas to fix what I have, though.
