Acrobat reader DC hang and crash

New Here ,
Sep 18, 2023 Sep 18, 2023

Hi

We were submitted multiple peoplehaving the problem.

Ive reproduced the problem on a newly installed Windows 11, with latest version of Acrobat reader  (2023.006.20320).

The pdf come from a xerox scanning device, im not sure if it was using OCR.
Ive disable all the security option in PREFERENCE\Enhanced security, no change
Ive run Acromon and created log files.

It seems PDF created in Word or ellse work.  Only the ones coming from the Xerox scanning device.

Please dont tell be to use acrobat cleaner, this is a new windows 11 installation with a new and only adobe acrobat reader installation.
Can i upload the logs somewhere please so we could have a hint.

I too have a problem with Acrobat Reader version 2023.006.20320 on a brand new Lenovo laptop running Windows 11.

Any pdf file from any source that is over about 5Mb in size will hang Acrobat Reader and not respond. It is unworkable.

Interestingly, the same version on my old laptop (Dell), works 100% fine with all files BUT the interface looks quite different.

Is this an Acrobat problem, a Lenovo problem or a Windows 11 problem.

The tech department of the retailer from whom I bought the laptop has no idea.

Any number of un-install/re-install or repair attempts makes no difference, exactly the same problem.

HELP - urgently. I have resorted to continuing to use my old laptop.

Try Foxit Reader - it is free, and works perfectly for me, whereas Acrobat
reader no longer works, crashes on large files or files with graphics.
