Acrobat running really slowly when creating mailmerge documents from word

New Here ,
Oct 30, 2023 Oct 30, 2023

We use acrobat to create mailmerge documents from multipul programms including Word, Number Press,

Ultimate Impo. We are running the following version

Architecture: arm64

Processor: Apple M1 Max

Build: 23.6.20360.0

AGM: 7.1.2

CoolType: 9.0.2

JP2K: 4.0.0.52671

We had a job with 12,000 No pages that needed to be imposed. I had the job running for 24 hours overnight and it still hadnt managed to produce the job. In desperation I put the job on an old computer Mac mini 2009 with an old version acrobat. It produced the job 30 mins. It appears to be scanning every page. Its just not practical. I have turned the security settings off and it has made no difference. I have endes up buying another package from another supplier but I feel that there should be setting to stop the scans and speed up the processing. Can anyone suggest a cure

Hi @andrewc74501547

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What happens when you try to mail merge the document? Do you get any error messages? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding. A small video recording of the steps you are doing would be very helpful.

For information about stopping the auto OCR, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/edit-scanned-pdfs.html and see if that works.
