acrobat stopped working. can't update PDF or export to Word

Acrobat Pro 64 bit. Files are opened by Adobe Acrobat. Won't let me edit PDF. Can't export to PDF. Help! I removed and reinstalled. Didn't help.

Firstly, may I ask if this issue is occurring with a particular PDF file or with all of the PDFs? If it's specific to one file, please try opening a different PDF file and check if the issue persists. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please try downloading it to your computer locally and then try again.

 

Additionally, could you please let me know what happens when you try to use the application? Do you receive any error messages? If yes, please feel free to share a screenshot of the error message with me so that I can better understand the issue.

 

To further assist you, may I know the version of the Acrobat DC you are currently using? You can check this by going to Help > About Acrobat. It's important to ensure that you have the latest version 23.01.20093 installed. If you don't have the latest version, please go to Help > Check for updates and reboot your computer after the update.

 

If the issue persists, you can try repairing the installation from the help menu (Windows only) and see if that resolves the issue. Finally, you may also try creating a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enabling the root account in MAC and try using the application there.
