Acrobat to dual tray - printing is offset

Mac OS 10.13.6

Acrobat DC 2020.012.20048

Hi all!

I have two dual tray printers both having the same problem with Acrobat. When printing a multi sized PDF (pages that are both legal and letter), it's shifting the print either down or up based on what I have the "page setup>paper size" set to. For example, when I print with "page setup>paper size" settings set to LEGAL and "choose paper source by pdf" is enabled, all the letter sized pages get messed up and shifted up. When I change "page setup>paper size" to LETTER and enable "choose paper source by pdf", all of the legal pages get shifted down. Sizing is always set to "actual size".

So basically, the opposite paper of what I have the setting set to get shifted up/down. It's not a printer problem, the issue is being recreated on two different printers in exactly the same way. Acrobat is up to date, both printers have the most recent firmware.

I'm a notary and print 2,000 pages a week, so this is a huge inconvenience. Anybody know what's going on? Thank you in advance!

This is a known problem with certain printers on MacOS. Acrobat Engineering is aware of the problem and we have alerted them to escalate a fix.

Add on: this is a mac issue only. I was able to test it with someone elses PC, and acrobat performs as it should. Thanks for anyone who has a solution 🙂

The issue is replicated on all new software, and on the pro version of Acrobat. I'm now on 10.15.7, and both dual tray printers have the most updated recent firmware and drivers, as well as both Acrobat pro and reader.
