Acrobat Update Routine

Please help asking Adobe to change the update default routine when updating Acrobat. It couldn't be a good thing that printing a X-pdf document suddenly causes a mandatory computer reset. One needs at least to properly save the documents (Indesign's in my case) that were freezed by this unescpected task. Thank you.
