This has happened more than several times, and always late at night when I'm tired. WHY does Acrobat have it's own update mechanism? And WHY does it always want to update when I want to turn my Mac off for the night? It then goes into a cluster#$%@ cycle of telling me I can't shut down, but letting me try anyway.
Put Acrobat's update function in the CC app JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER ADOBE APP so I can update it WHEN I WANT TO!
Come on, man... this is 2023!

Hi @rcoda1
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
You can turn off the Automatic updates of Acrobat Pro from the preferences. Go to Edit > Preferences > Updater > uncheck '' 'Automatically install updates' > Click OK and reboot the computer once and see if that works for you.

Hi, I also need the automatic updates turned off. My problem is that each time I run it manually it turns automatic updates back on. Also, it turns on a setting in the Adobe PDF printer that I need to remain unchecked and that is the 'rely on system fonts' setting. So, each time I update I have to try and remember to go back in and turn them both off again. The printer setting is the main reason why I want the updates to run manually. Is there something that can be done so that our settings are not changed with each update?
Thanks for your help,
Pam

I'm with you on this, @peacepkr1970, but this is not the best forum to catch the eye of Adobe's decisionmakers.
Would you post your feature request at https://acrobat.uservoice.com/?
