I'm using Acrobat Reader on macos Ventura 13.4 on m2 pro.

I open Acrobat Reader on full screen on an extra monitor. when my computer sleeps or I disconnect the external monitor the acrobat window disappears. even when i right click on the acrobat reader icon on the dock and press "Show All Windows" i don't see the acrobat window ("no available windows")!

this problem has been around for more than a year and yet there is no fix to this problem.

I had this problem also in an intel cpu.

*I'm using the latest continuous release version 2023.001.20177

Hi @mukatren

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

You have mentioned disconnecting the other monitor, or when the computer goes into sleep mode, Acrobat doesn't show up, even the icon available in the doc. This, moreover, looks like a dual monitor display issue, not application specific.

After disconnecting the extra monitor or closing it, you should be able to see all the apps on the primary screen. Other than Acrobat Pro, did you experience this problem with any other app opened on the second monitor?

If not, then try a couple of things to see if that helps:

1- Update the Drivers manually

2- Do a clean install of Acrobat on your machine.

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat installer from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Thanks,

Akanchha

unfortunately this didnt solve the problem, also after installing acrobat pro from the link you provided, viewing the files wasn't as smooth as before.

this problem only happens with Adobe Reader.

Unfortunately, after several tries, this did not solve the problem.

The problem happens when my computer is connected to two external monitors and acrobat is open on the secondary monitor (not the main external monitor).

This has been happening to me too! I've deleted & re-downloaded the app and it's still happening. It only happens when either one or both external monitors are connected, it doesn't happen when any external monitor isn't connected.I am assuming that it has something to do with the connection but I've tried disconnecting everything

several times 😞

This is happening to me as well. I have to completly close all my Adobe tabs and windows to recover my Adobe screen after connecting ro external monitor. This is the only program doing this and it is wasting alot of my time having to restart and pull files over and over as I move from meeting to office again and again. This seems to have become a major problem after Adobe got on the AI band wagon that is also cumbesom and a hinderence ones ability to accomplish tasks at work.
