Action can't be completed because the file is open

I keep having the "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Adobe Acrobat DC" when the file is not open.  I have to completely close adobe to be able to delete/rename/move the file in question.  It's been happening more often lately. 

 

I save the files to my creative cloud folder if that makes a difference.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error 'The action can't be completed because the file is open in Adobe Acrobat DC' when you try to to delete/rename/move the file.

Then you need to provide more details, starting with:

- Your exact version of Acrobat

- Your OS version

- Does this happen with all files, from all folders?

"Check out this answer from 8 years ago even though operating systems and the Adobe software have gone through several iterations since then." Would be nice if they tried providing an actual recent answer.
