Action needed to request e-signatures

I have two activated devices under my Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription, and both should have access to the e-signature features. We have been using these features without issue for almost a whole year. However, yesterday on July 1, 2025 when attempting to request an e-signature, I received the error message: Action needed to request e-signatures. You can no longer request e-signatures with this user profile associated with <my user email>. Please contact your admin or resubscribe to restore access." The thing is, I am the admin and we have an active subscription with the next payment due on July 24, 2025. Can someone help me understand why this feature is suddenly blocked?

We checked the account using the email address you used to sign in to the community. It seems to be active and working fine. Please confirm whether you have made any recent changes to the account.

Please let us know what happens when you try to access the service through Acrobat Web. See if you get the error or if it works.

I never use the service through Acrobat Web and this is not something I am familiar with doing. 

 

My downloaded desktop app for Adobe is not working. I tried again this morning, same error message. Is there a new version of this app? How do I run an update? I would prefer the desktop app be functioning properly. Please advise.

You will be using the same service through the web that you use on your desktop. Please use the steps suggested in the following help document: 

- Open the link: 

- Sign in using the Adobe credentials that you use for the desktop application.

- Go to the E-Sign tab and select Request e-signatures.

You may refer to the steps suggested in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4ev2D7L

 

On a desktop application, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates. If you still experience the issue, please share the email address you use for the service in a private message so we can check the account status. You may send a private message using the envelope icon at the top right corner of this community page.
